Wind surfing is a surface water sport, which involves the use of a sailboard or a windsurf board that is powered by a single sail. This sport is a blend of aspects of surfing and sailing along with sports like skateboarding, snowboarding, waterskiing etc. Windsurfing includes speed sailing, wave sailing, course racing etc.

While windsurfing is possible under a wide range of wind conditions, most recreational windsurfers prefer to sail in conditions that allow for consistent planning with multi-purpose, not overly specialized, free-ride equipment.

This sport involves the use of equipments such as harness, harness lines, joint, wet/dry suit, footwear, helmet, personal floatation device etc. Anyone above the age of 3 years can start windsurfing with lightweight sails and boards. People from the age of 8-15 years can become involved in t-15 windsurfing and can get together with other clubs and race for prizes.

Windsurfing includes the following disciplines:

Olympic class
Formula class
