Earlier it was considered as a game of the elite class, but nowadays, it is equally played by rich as well as common people. The growth and popularity of the game has been skyrocketed throughout the world.

The game of Tennis is though played by limited players; it is more famous as spectators sport. This English-originated game is played between two players or between two teams comprising of two players on each side. Players may be males or females or combined and hence these are named as Men’s Single, Men’s Double etc. Golf is best played in ideal conditions---a warm late spring or an early summer. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to play it in non-ideal conditions.

A competent tennis player has eight basic shots in his or her repertoire: the serve, forehand, backhand, volley, half-volley, overhead smash, drop shot and lob. A tennis match comprises of a number of sets, typically three for both men’s and women’s matches, the exception being at the major events where the men play best of five sets. A set consists of a number of games and a game consists of a number of points. Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, U.S. Open, the grand slam tournaments of Tennis are some of the vastly watched events worldwide.
Internationals apart, national and regional level competitions are gaining momentum day by day.
